China-based smartphone vendor Xiaomi has introduced the Mi 7. The Mi 7 is a flagship offering that features a bezel-less display, taking a cue from Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus’s infinity display. Being a flagship handset, it ships with IP68 certification which ensures that the smartphone is water-resistant and simultaneously dust proof. Also, on offer is an iris scanner which provides added security and users can unlock the device just by looking at the iris scanner. The Xiaomi Mi 7 sports a metal and glass body which looks premium.
The smartphone flaunts an impressive 5.7-inch QHD Super AMOLED display which is bright and vibrant and is paired with awesome viewing angles that ensure a unique visual experience while gaming or watching videos.
Performance and Camera
For shutterbugs, the Xiaomi Mi 7 is an absolute treat as it sports dual 16-megapixel rear cameras which is paired with a dual-LED flash to handle low-light shots. The rear camera is also equipped with OIS and phase detection autofocus that adds stability to your images.
On the front, selfies and video calling is aided by a 16-megapixel front-facing camera too.
The Xiaomi Mi 7 is armed with an octa-core Snapdragon 845 chipset and 6GB of RAM to deliver a smooth and flawless performance. The device is also well equipped to handle your multitasking requirements with ease.
Battery and Storage
The smartphone is fuelled by a non-removable Li-Ion 3,800mAh battery which is good enough to last throughout the day. For heavy users, the battery also comes with fast charging support.
To store data and install apps, the Xiaomi Mi 7 ships with an onboard storage space of 64GB which unfortunately is fixed and can’t be expanded any further.
Platform and Connectivity
For connectivity, the Mi 7 is bundled with multiple connectivity options which include 4G, dual SIM support, GPS, Bluetooth 4.2, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, NFC, and a microUSB Type-C port. The handset runs MIUI 8 based on the Android 7.1 Nougat operating system.
