Display and Design
The Prime Plus features a 5.0-inch qHD display(540 x 960) with 220 PPI of pixel density that won t do much for entertainment enthusiasts might suffice for the passive watcher. The device measures about 144.8 x 72.1 x 8.6 mm while weighing 156 grams. The volume buttons are on the right edge and power button on the left. The phone is available in gray, white and gold exteriors.
Platform and Memory
The device runs 6.0 Marshmallow on a MediaTek MT6737 chipset that bears a 1.3 GHz quad-core Cortex-A53 processor and 2GB of RAM that runs everyday mobile tasks with ease. Demanding tasks and extensive multitasking will slow the device down. Samsung has vested the phone with 32GB of storage that is expandable to 256GB of expandable storage. The chipset also has a Mali-T720MP2 GPU to handle games.
Cameras and Battery
The rear of the Prime Plus comes with an 8-megapixel camera that takes adequately clear images with the help of LED flash in low light conditions. The camera takes the best images when used in bright sunlight. The camera app comes with the usual features such as autofocus, geo-tagging, face detection and some modes to make the best use of available light. The camera records in Full HD at 30 fps. The front camera is 5-megapixels takes simple images. The phone is powered by a non-removable 2,600mAh Li-ion battery that lasts about 15 hours.
