Introduction and Display
The LG K8 (2017) is a dual-SIM smartphone which succeeds the LG K8 that was launched earlier. The smartphone looks more or less like its predecessor but with some tweaks. The mid-range smartphone comes with features like a 120-degree wide-angle front camera lens and a rear fingerprint scanner similar to the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3.
The device boasts a 5-inch IPS LCD display with HD (1280×720 pixels) resolution which has decent viewing angles.
Performance and Storage
The K8 (2017) is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 chipset which is clocked at 1.4GHz that ensures seamless performance. To allow lag-free multitasking, there is 1.5GB of RAM.
For installing apps and storing data and personal files the smartphone ships with 16GB of internal storage which as per user requirement can further be expanded using a microSD card up to 32GB.
Camera and Connectivity
In terms of imaging, the K8 (2017) is a step down from its previous version. At the back, there is a 13-megapixel camera which is paired with an LED flash which you can use while shooting in the dark. To assist video calls and selfies, users get a 5-megapixel secondary snapper.
The LG K8 (2017) comes with all the standard connectivity options which include dual-SIM support, 4G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, NFC, and a microUSB 2.0 port.
Battery and Platform
One of the most important aspects of the device is that it runs the Android 7.0 Nougat operating system out of the box which ensures that users have the latest Android experience. The smartphone packs a Li-Ion 2,500 mAh battery which is expected to last for 24 hours for a normal user. The LG K8 (2017) is available in silver, titan, blue, and gold colours.
