Introduction & Design
The LG K10 (2017) that we exclusively leaked back in December is now official. The LG K10 (2017) is a mid-range device with 4G capabilities. The device features a metal finished frame along with the chrome bezel around the edges. The rear of the device comes with a removable panel that has a faux metal finish. On the back of the device, you’ll also find a fingerprint scanner that is first for a K series device from LG. The device measures 148.7 x 75.3 x 7.9mm and weighs 142g.
Display & Camera
The LG K10 has a 5.3-inch IPS LCD display with HD resolution (1280×720 pixels). Being an IPS panel the display has excellent viewing angles and high brightness level. Although, the sharpness could have been better by using a Full HD unit. The imaging on the LG K10 is handled by a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. The primary camera is capable recording Full HD videos, whereas the secondary camera can record HD videos. LG has customised the camera UI to fit in more features, such as beauty mode and different shooting modes.
Software & Performance
After launching the LG V20, the first mobile device to feature Android 7.0 Nougat OS, LG is now shipping the 2017 K series devices with the Android 7.0 Nougat too; this will be one of the strongest selling points for the device. The performance on the LG K10 (2017) is handled by MediaTek MT6750 chipset paired with 2GB of RAM. This octa-core chipset is clocked at 1.5GHz to provide smooth performance even under heavy loads. The device comes with 16GB of internal memory that can be expanded via a microSD card.
Battery & Connectivity
The LG K10 (2017) is powered by a 2,800 mAh removable battery. The device supports fast charging. On the connectivity side, the LG K10 (2017) comes with dual-SIM 4G, Wi-Fi a/b/g/n, Bluetooth, GPS, microUSB v2.0 port, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
