Introduction
The Apple iPhone 6s is the successor to the iPhone 6 which was the company’s successor in the previous year. The Apple iPhone 6s is the first iPhone ever to feature 3D Touch Display technology. Apple provides with one of the best LCD displays on the market, although they are not as good as AMOLED displays. The iPhone 6s is also the first iPhone ever that is capable of recording 4K (3840×2160) videos. There is also a bump in iPhone’s camera resolution after a long time; it is now a 12MP unit with a 29mm wide-angle lens and phase detection autofocus technology. The image captured on iPhone 6s have excellent colours and sharpness. The camera on the iPhone is known to deliver excellent image quality consistently under any scenario. The secondary camera now comes with a 5-megapixel resolution.
Software & Performance
The operating system on the iPhone 6s is now iOS 9. The iOS 9 brings with it plenty of features along with much smoother performance compared to iOS 8. The device can be updated to iOS 10.1 via the OTA. The Apple A9 chipset is incharge for delivering uninterrupted performance on the iPhone 6s. The updated chipset now runs on 1.84GHz instead of 1.4GHz that was on the previous Apple A8 chipset. The multitasking, as well as the overall performance on the iPhone 6s, is very fluid. The gaming too is a breeze with the new PowerVR GT7600 GPU. The RAM has been increased and now it’s 2GB, with this the iPhone 6s can now perform better at multitasking.
Battery & Connectivity
Apple has managed to increase the battery backup while decreasing the battery capacity at the same time. The iPhone now features a 1,715 mAh battery compared to the 1,810 mAh on its predecessor. The connectivity on the iPhone 6s includes 4G, dual-band Wi-Fi a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, and a reversible lightning connector for wired connectivity.
