Introduction
The Apple iPhone 3GS is a revolution in the mobile phone industry. The iPhone 3GS brings significant improvements in processing power, software, and multimedia capabilities. The device retains the same design that of the Apple iPhone 3G. The device measures 115.5 x 62.1 x 12.3mm and weighs 135g. The Apple iPhone 3GS is available in two colour variants, back, and white.

Display & Camera
The device carries the same 3.5-inch TFT capacitive display with a screen resolution of HVGA (320 x 480) from its predecessor iPhone 3G. The Apple iPhone 3GS has its display covered with Corning’s Gorilla Glass. The most significant change in this latest iPhone is the 3.15-megapixel camera. The camera now supports touch to autofocus technology, this allows the user to focus on the desired area in the camera frame before taking the picture. The camera can now also record 480p videos.

Hardware & Software
The Apple iPhone 3GS is powered by a single-core Cortex-A8 processor clocked at 600MHz. The processor is faster than the one found on its predecessor and it is paired to 256MB of RAM. The graphics are handled by a much powerful PowerVR SGX535 GPU. The internal storage on the device is 8GB. A 16GB and a 32GB storage is available too as an option. The device ships with iOS 3 operating system. Although it is upgradable to iOS 6.1.6. The iOS operating system is regarded as one of the smoothest performing mobile OS.

Battery & Connectivity
The battery capacity of the Apple iPhone 3GS has not been disclosed by the company. However, Apple says that it can provide 5 hours of 3G talk-time and 30 hours of music playback. The connectivity options include 3G, Wi-Fi b/g, Bluetooth v2.1, GPS with A-GPS and GLONASS, and Apple’s proprietary USB port.
